Junior alumni council

Our Identity

The Junior Alumni Council (JAC) is one of the committees of the Wah Yan (Hong Kong) Past Students Association (PSA).  Its former name was Student Members Committee since the current name has been adopted in 2004.  JAC was formed in 1987 and it aims to promote liaison among the student members, who are studying at Wah Yan and tertiary institutions locally and overseas, as well as those who are working.  Providing assistance to student members is also one of the main objectives of JAC.

Core members of the Council mainly comprise of the recent five years graduates.  Actually, participation in the Council is open to all past graduates and there seems a trend that more and more graduates have interests in joining the Council.

Our Activities

JAC organizes various types of activities in accordance with its objectives.  Social activities such as visits, gatherings and ball games were organized in the past years.  For helping student members, seminars and career related programmes had been organized, such as the JUPAS seminars and Career Talks.

Membership

All graduates, who had studied in Wah Yan, are eligible to obtain student memberships of the PSA.  As a normal practice, JAC will annually recruit new Form five graduates in Wah Yan.

The membership fee is $50 for five years.  Upon expiration of the student membership, members may renew their membership as either a life or an ordinary membership with the respective subscription fees
